Bushwackers Announce New Music Arrangers

| |

The Bushwackers are pleased to announce Ralph Hardimon as the new Director of Percussion and Al DiCroce as the 2007 Brass arranger.

Ralph Hardimon was the director of percussion for the Santa Clara Vanguard from 1976-1990, during which he won five percussion caption awards and four DCI World Championship titles. He then served as a consultant for SCV from 1997-2000. Hardimon has scored music for ensembles of all types, receiving Grammy nominations and a Gold Record. In 2000, Ralph was inducted into the DCI Hall of fame, and in 2005, he received a "Lifetime Achievement Award" from the Sabian Cymbal Company. Currently, Hardimon works as a WGI adjudicator and continues a working partnership with Mike Sherpa at "Head Talk", a school for multi-percussion in Loveland, CO.

The current DCA brass caption champions welcome arranger Al DiCroce, an arranger whose experience has come full circle. As a driving force in the early years of the Bushwackers, Al served as both brass caption head and show coordinator from 1982-1985. Later, DiCroce was the director and brass arranger for Canada’s Dutch Boy, leading them into DCI finals. Al then went on to join Hardimon arranging for the Denver Blue Knights in the 1990’s. Al also arranged for the 2004 World Champion Empire Statesmen and continues to write for many bands and other ensembles.

Hardimon and DiCroce are excited to be working together again, and the Bushwackers welcome their wealth of talent and experience and look forward to an incredible and synergetic season.
