Austin Stars Percussion Head, 2007 Open House

The Austin Stars are pleased to announce the addition of Chris Montemayor to the role of percussion caption head. Chris is the percussion head for the Texas State 3A semi-finalist Taylor High School marching band. He also wrote and taught for the Lockhart and Smithville high school bands this year. For the previous 6 years, he was the instructor and arranger for the Dripping Springs HS band percussion section.

The "A-Stars" inaugural open house and rehearsal is set for Saturday, November 18th. The location has been changed to Taylor High School located at 3101 N. Main St. in Taylor, Texas. There will be an informative meeting and video presentation from 9 to 11 a.m. followed by a short brass and percussion rehearsal from Noon to 3 p.m. For more information please visit the corps website at www.austinstars.org.
