Please join us for our 2007 season kick-off Open House and weekend rehearsal camp, December 2-3, 2006.

Saturday, December 2nd 10:00 am to 5:00 pm
Sunday, December 3rd 10:00 am to 3:00 pm

We are looking forward to an exciting new performance year and we want you to be a part of it. We will be announcing our 2007 program at the camp.

Shenandoah Sound is an all-age DCA drum and bugle corps composed of brass, percussion and guard performers. Brass and percussion equipment is provided by the corps, however, you will need to supply some personal items. For the rehearsal:

Brass and Percussion
Bring your mouthpiece or any sticks/mallets.

Guard
Bring a practice flag, rifle or saber if you have one. If not, we do have practice flags.

All
Bring a folding chair as our facility is relatively furniture free.

Audition Process
We will be posting warm-up and rudiment exercises for brass and percussion on the corps website in the next couple of days. We will be using these pieces in rehearsal to gauge your current playing ability. Don’t worry if you haven’t played in a while or want to learn a brass instrument – there is a place for you with Shenandoah Sound.

General Information
Meals will be provided both days.
Notify us
– if you need transportation – we will attempt to locate a carpool buddy.
– to provide the instrument/position for which you will be auditioning.
– if you are traveling a great distance and need housing Saturday night.

Rehearsal Location
Loudoun Elks Lodge (near Dulles Airport)
23219 Evergreen Mills Rd
Leesburg, VA, 20175
