Vanguard Summer 2008 Begins With Move-In

The 2008 Santa Clara Vanguard membership has initiated the annual spring training campaign with the Friday arrival of most of the out-of-town members and the rehearsal of all local and out-of-state brass, percussion and color guard on May 16 to 18 for the last official Spring corps camp at Independence HS in San Jose.

This weekend’s camp – which ends at 3 pm on Sunday, May 18 – leads into the start of Pre-tour ("everydays"), where the brass, percussion and color guard begin to solidify the methods and techniques used in the summer, while they also combine drill, music and choreography on a daily basis.
