Even in his final hours, Robert J. “Burly Bob” Lendman was listening to a CD of his favorite Phantom Regiment classics. Lendman, 71, died Saturday in Gainesville, Fla., from complications from a Feb. 15 motorcycle crash. Lendman had a passion for drum corps, especially for Rockford’s Phantom Regiment, which he directed from 1976 through 1981. […]
