Written by Drum Corps Europe website
Saturday, 06 March 2010
Showband Con Spirito from Joure has purchased 31 new Quantum Marching Brass brass instruments from the German manufacturer Jupiter. The purchase is an investment of 55,000 euros.

The Frisian show band is the first corps in the Netherlands to be fully equipped with the Quantum Marching Brass instrument line. The replacement was desperately needed, as the current DCN A-Class champions’ twenty year old instruments are on their last legs.

What should audiences expect in the visual design for Maze?

With a show called Maze, the visual program needs to submerge the audience into our situation. We are entering what looks to be a fun and harmless Maze, but little did we know how difficult this would become. The audience member will experience from beginning to end the development of Maze, from simple to incredibly aggressive and complex. The audience will see the moments of tension, frustration, anger, and moments where they just want to give up and give in. 2010 Crossmen February Camp Report
Written by Crossmen website
At the end of the Crossmen February rehearsal camp, the corps performed full movements of the pre-show and opener, both based on Pat Metheny's "First Circle" and "Heat of the Day." The 2010 show, entitled Full Circle, is already generating lots of positive feedback among the members of the corps, staff, and audience at the camp. During other rehearsals, the hornline also played through the third movement of the show. At the camp meeting on Friday night, Mark Chambers and Jaime Alvarez-Calderon previewed drill videos and led discussion about the design. “We are pleased with the progress and content of the design as well as the feedback that we are getting from the corps and staff. We hope to make this show a Crossmen Fan Favorite” said Mark Chambers, Corps Director.

This is where you can help. We are only short $10,000, a drop in the bucket compared to the total cost of over $100k. Your small donation can make a huge impact on the 2010 brass section and for years to come!

Written by Youth Education in the Arts website
Friday, 05 March 2010
There is no greater honor for a Cadet, or someone who has served the corps faithfully, than to be inducted into the Hall of Fame. Since its creation, the names of 33 inductees now grace the Hall of Fame dedication plaque in The Cadets office in Allentown, Pa.

More than an etching on a nameplate, these dedicated individuals gave their heart and soul to the organization, and their contributions to the corps, and the activity, have had a profound impact in carrying on the legacy of The Cadets.
