Spartans had their first two major open houses before and after Thanksgiving with more than 200 new interested students. The corps hall was busting at the seams with parents that showed up to see what the drum corps activity is all about.

Tickets for two 2007 Drum Corps International Major Events, DCI Chicagoland and DCI Central Illinois, will go on sale this Thursday, Nov. 30, at 9 a.m. Central time.
DCI Chicagoland, to be held at the Sports Complex at Benedictine University in Lisle, Ill., has become a staple of season-starting drum corps activities. Growing in popularity in 2005 and 2006 as the "DCI Father's Day Kickoff," the 2007 edition of this DCI Chicagoland event will take place on Sunday, June 24. Ticket prices range from $18 to $25. Tickets for groups of 25 or more cost $15.

The summer of 2007 will see The Cavaliers explore the music of one of the world's most celebrated musicians: Billy Joel.
Program Coordinator Scott Koter states, "When considering concepts, the obvious is often overlooked. Billy Joel's music has the distinctiveness and diversity that is so important to a great show. It's been fun discovering his vast repertoire, including an entire CD of classical piano works. The design team is excited about combining our process with his melodies."

The Colts Drum and Bugle Corps is pleased to announce that Michael Cesario has joined the creative team of the Colts as Program Consultant.
"Michael is providing his insight, guidance, resources, inspiration and expertise to us in the development of our show, and will help us fully develop our concepts," said Greg Orwoll, Colts Executive Director. "We are thrilled to have him working with us. What he has contributed already to our 2007 program has been significant."

The Blue Stars Drum and Bugle Corps will be holding an audition this Sunday, December 3rd at Westwood Junior High School in Dallas, TX.
This audition is open for prospective members in all sections of the corps.
