With the 2007 drum corps season just around the corner, Capital Sound announces an open call for staff in all captions to be a part of the Division 3 corps from Wisconsin. Under the leadership of new corps director, Marc Gofstein, the corps is looking for the best and brightest to work with a talented group of kids.
“I want to give our kids some of the best instruction in the activity,” says Gofstein. “We might be a Division 3 corps, but there is no reason why our kids can’t have D-I instruction.” |

The Mandarins completed a very successful DCI tour, placing 17th at the Drum Corps International World Championships in Madison, Wisconsin. Color Guard Captain Ageout Jacquelyn Wong talks about her tour experience and shares some news about our upcoming Winterguard season.

Corps directors representing organizations in each of Drum Corps International's three competitive divisions, along with other affiliates, convened in Chicago this weekend (Sept. 29-Oct. 1) for their annual fall business meetings.

Following a successful meeting in Chicago with the DCI's Participation Review Committee, Troopers Executive Director Mike Ottoes is pleased to announce the Troopers full-scale return to division 1 Touring status for the 2007 Summer Music Games tour.
"We still expect a visit from the Participation Review Committee at one of our upcoming winter camps, but we have every confidence that the Troopers return to DCI competition will be a strong one," commented Ottoes following the weekend meetings. He continued, "I am grateful for the insight and support we have received from DCI Executive Director Dan Acheson and all the other drum corps." |

Wayne Dillon will serve as the Brass Caption Head for the 2007 Boston Crusaders. A 12-year veteran of the DCI judging circuit, Mr. Dillon has served as Caption Head for The Cadets, and has also worked with Capital Regiment as Program Coordinator.
