Crosby To Serve As Acadamy Percussion Caption Head Print

The Academy is excited to announce that Glen Crosby will be upgrading his invovlement with the corps for 2007. Since its inception as The Summer Brass & Percussion Ensemble in 2001, Glen has served in a capacity as percussion and design consultant. This year, Glen will be serving as the Caption Head and Arranger for The Academy Drum & Bugle Corps percussion section.

Band Director Announces Departure Print

Last week Mark Dunton was sitting in his band office at the high school, getting ready for classes and meeting with marching band students.

This week he's 300 miles from the place he called home for the past five years, in a new office, wearing a new job as corps director for the Madison Scouts Drum and Bugle Corps.

Teal Sound Announces Brass Caption Head/Arranger Print

Teal Sound Drum & Bugle Corps is proud to announce a new addition to their staff. Joining Teal as their new Brass Caption Head and Arranger for the 2007 season will be Ron Ellis. Mr. Ellis is currently the Assistant Director of Bands and Director of Athletic Bands at the University of Central Florida in Orlando.

“After a long search, we feel we have found in Ron, the right person who will bring our brass program to the next level” said Trevor Jones, Teal’s Program Coordinator. “This is truly an exciting time for Teal Sound with the addition of Ron to an already great team of instructors and creative staff. There are no limits to where this corps can go in the future” said Brian Fisher, Assistant Director.

Troopers Name 2007 Visual Designer Print

Troopers Executive Director Mike Ottoes and Corps Director Fred Morris are pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Mitch Rogers as the Troopers Visual Designer for the 2007 season.

Mitch began his career as a high school marching band trombonist and continued at the University of Illinois, where he performed in concert and marching bands. Mitch performed with The Cavaliers Drum & Bugle Corps in the early 1980s.
