The Memphis Sound drum line took a break from daily rehearsals to help Tennessee Governor Phil Bredesen kick off his 2006 reelection campaign in downtown Memphis on June 8th. The governor’s office asked Memphis Sound to lead the Governor’s motorcade from the Peabody Hotel to the Rendezvous Restaurant where a campaign rally was held. |

Pacific Crest Youth Arts Organization announces a partnership with the Shilo Hilltop Inn and Hilltop Suites. Under this three-year agreement, the Shilo will be Pacific Crest’s official hotel.
The Shilo will offer Pacific Crest fans a discounted room rate that can be used anytime during the year, but should be most useful during the audition weekend, Corps at the Crest, and other events when fans will want to stay overnight in the area. In addition, the Shilo will provide lodging for DCI judges at Corps at the Crest. |

The drum and bugle corps will kick-off All-Days training with the June Camp at Cavalry Temple Church, in Kerrville, Texas for the June 9th through 11th weekend. They will also rehearse at the Tivy High School practice field and band hall.
The June Camp is a "make-up" camp for the March Camp that did not occur due to numerous conflicts with members and staff involving band contests, spring break, and extra-curricular school activites. |
