Day Ten: Meerhout, Belgium Print

The last day the GLASSMEN spent on the continent of Europe was a quick one day trip through Meerhout, Belgium. A small town of just over 9,000 near the northern center of the country, this is the first time the city has hosted a drum corps show at this level.

Day Nine: Dordrecht, Netherlands Print

The big show day in Holland is finally here! The GLASSMEN awoke early to get ready for the day as one of twelve drum corps that would perform Friday evening in Dordrecht's GN Bouw Stadium. Having begun the day with an open stadium rehearsal from 10am-5pm, the corps was swarmed with fans and onlookers from start to finish. People were busy around the stadium getting ready for food and souvenir sales, but everyone stopped to watch the GLASSMEN run through at the end of rehearsal - and they couldn't wait to see it in uniform later on in the evening - along with some new uniform additions for the color guard!

Day Eight: Dordrecht, Netherlands Print

After a quick trip north east from Bruges, the GLASSMEN finally arrived in Holland late Wednesday night, in preparation for the full rehearsal day Thursday, and the upcoming show in Dordrecht on Friday. The corps had first-hand experience with the narrow streets in the Netherlands, normally meant for bikes and people on foot - or at least a small car. When the busses tried to navigate around the tiny road leading to the sports hall (the GLASSMEN housing site) - it was definitely a sight to see!

Carolina Crown Marchers Attuned To Life Changes Print

The award-winning Carolina Crown Drum and Bugle Corps ignored the threatening storm as lush bugle melodies penetrated the quiet of Spring Lake.

As the clouds rolled in, corpsmember Seth Murphy yelled: “You must maintain your focus. I know a lot is going on, but we have to keep working hard.”

Santa Clara Vanguard Family Day Print

The annual Santa Clara Vanguard Family Day will be held this Sunday, July 2nd at Mission College in Santa Clara. Both the Vanguard and Vanguard Cadets will be rehearsing and peforming their shows. This is the last chance to see the Vanguard before they head out on their National Tour.
