Marching Through The Magic Kingdom Print

Fans can join three top drum corps for a change of venue and a whole lot of fun on Sunday, July 13, when the Cadets, Glassmen and Teal Sound take to the streets of Disney World's Magic Kingdom for a very special day of performances! Drum corps fans will find an abundance of spectacle and excitement as these corps march through the "Happiest Place on Earth," the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Fla.

The Magic Kingdom corps performances will take place following the DCI Orlando Premier Event scheduled for Saturday, July 12 at 7 p.m. The Orlando Citrus Bowl, four-time home to the DCI World Championships, will play host that night to the performances of 10 top corps.

In The News: Bowl Hopes To Break Even On 4th Print

As officials prepare for the annual Americafest July 4 event at the Rose Bowl, manager Darryl Dunn is hoping to make enough to break even on the event.

Although the celebration ends up being attended by about 25,000 to 30,000 people, the expense of the fireworks, marching bands and security quickly eats up the revenue generated at the box office, he said.

"It's not a great business model, but it is a great tradition," said Dunn, the Rose Bowl's general manager.

2008 DCI Madison Audio Peformance Downloads Now Available Print

Drum Corps International Audio Performance Downloads (APDs) are here! After select 2008 DCI Summer Tour events, you'll be able to purchase and download live performances of your favorite corps straight to your computer's hard drive. Jam out to the sweet sounds of summer by burning your APDs to a CD or sync them to your iPod or other audio device.

APDs recorded at the June 28 DCI Madison Premier Event are now available including performances of the Cadets, Carolina Crown, Cavaliers, Blue Knights, Boston Crusaders, Bluecoats, Glassmen, Spirit, Madison Scouts, Blue Stars, Crossmen, Troopers and Pioneer.

Cadets Audio Vaults Are Open Print

They’re here! Elk’s Parade, West Side Story, America the Beautiful, Rocky Point Holiday, Malaguena and so many more great selections from so many incredible shows!

For the past few months the crack audio team of the Cadets has been gathering recordings of the corps from many different sources. After looking for as many audio files as possible the Cadets have put together a HUGE library of field shows and some indoor performance as well. Field Shows for the 1950’s are just the beginning of this musical trip.
