On Sunday December 3rd, the Atlanta CorpsVets marked the beginning of our 10th season with our biggest open house ever. Over 40 guard, 58 horns, and more than 25 percussionists eagerly listened as Executive Director David Stollberg and Program Coordinator Gary Hopkins mapped out plans for the 2007 season. Dr. Stollberg later commented, “Just a fantastic turnout! And such a talented group as well! This was the most well-attended and most exciting open house that I have ever seen in the 10 year history of the corps!” After Hopkins introduced the caption heads to the members, the corps split into sections and got down to business. The Horns and Drums worked on fundamentals and then received music for the first segment of the 2007 show. |

Tim James, director of sales at the Greater Rochester Visitors’ Association (GRVA), is buying into the Empire Statesmen’s program by agreeing to serve on the Vince Bruni executive committee. His appointment was approved at the Nov. 24 meeting of the committee.
James is already familiar with Empire Statesmen activities. He assisted Empire Statesmen founder and director Vince Bruni in arranging the Drum Corps Associates (DCA) championships in Rochester in 1996. He served on the Rochester DCA championships local planning committee in 2006, and will continue to serve on that committee in 2007. |

So Cal Dream Drum and Bugle Corps, who brought you the exciting music of Kill Bill Volume 1 & Volume 2, has set a new course and have engaged the warp engines as they proudly announce their 2007 production of “Dreamscapes” featuring musical selections from the science fiction icon, Star Trek. Not one to present “just another show of Star Trek music,” So Cal Dream will be stamping their brand of entertainment and quality sound on some stellar music this season. |

Bernie Malesky, Executive Director, welcomed over 120 attendees at the Connecticut Hurricanes Open House on December 3rd. He said the 2007 Hurricanes are the NEW Hurricanes. The Board of Directors has voted to outfit the Corps with NEW B-Flat Bugles, NEW front ensemble equipment, NEW Percussion, NEW uniforms and a NEW home! The Seymour Community Center is the new home of the Connecticut Hurricanes. Anyone interested in auditioning can contact Cheryl Curran, Recruitment Coordinator, at (203) 583-6288 or attend a rehearsal. Please check the web site for dates and times for rehearsals.
