As of June 1, a total of twenty-seven all-age drum and bugle corps have officially registered for the 42nd Annual DCA World Championships in Rochester, New York this summer. According the DCA President Gil Silva, every participant from 2005 will return and be joined by SoCal Dream of Irvine, California. The current entry list includes corps representing fifteen states and one Canadian province. "We expected continued growth for DCA and have already changed our competition schedule to accommodate that, said Silva. We also heard from other groups but those plans are not finalized.".

The San Francisco Renegades and So Cal Dream Drum & Bugle Corps are excited to announce their production of the Loud Music Symposium musical extravaganza coming to Southern California for the first time Friday, July 7, at Torrance High School beginning at 7:00 p.m. This spectacular celebration of loud music and performance artistry will tantalize the eardrums of unsuspecting listeners with an amazing showcase of diverse artists.
The Loud Music Symposium LA is a festival of decibels celebrating the variety of music and visual arts, which has become a San Francisco Bay Area essential concert event. A few of the featured performers at LMS LA include the San Francisco Renegades; So Cal Dream; Los Angeles based rock bands – E Backwards E, and The Lost Disciples. |

Rochester’s Empire Statesmen will be providing family entertainment during both of this summer’s major holiday weekends, starting with the Vince Bruni Preview of Champions drum and bugle corps contest on July 1 during Independence Day weekend, and wrapping up the contest season on Labor Day weekend by hosting the Drum Corps Associates (DCA) championship tournament in the new downtown PAETEC Park Stadium.
The Preview of Champions is named in honor of Vince Bruni, who founded the Empire Statesmen in 1983 and the World Drum Corps Hall of Fame in 1976 and served as director of both until his passing in 2003. |

After a year's absence because of litigation, a Carlisle-based promotions company is bringing back its drum-and-bugle corps competition to central Pennsylvania.
Five Star Brass Productions Inc. will stage its contest at Central Dauphin East High School's Landis Field on July 8.
Last year, Five Star canceled the event when it was unable to secure Hersheypark Stadium, the site of the competition for two decades. Five Star said it couldn't afford the higher rental fees imposed by Hershey Entertainment & Resorts Co.
