That's right, folks. This year, our annual History Night will be dressed up in a Late Night theme. One of our biggest and most important nights on the CAA calendar, History Night allows the alumni and the corps to come together in one place to share stories, pass on traditions, and talk about where this corps came from and where it's been. After a one year absence, live drum and bugle corps competition returns to Central PA. Longtime promoter Five Star Brass Productions, in conjunction with the Central Dauphin East High School Band Boosters, Drum Corps Associates, and the A. J. Wright Stores will bring live drum corps competition to Landis Field on Saturday, July 8th. This year’s show marks a return after a one year absence. In 2005, the long time show site became unavailable just weeks before the performance, leavings fans, the corps and the promoters without a local show for the first time in over 50 years. Despite the pleas of many local drum corps fans, the 2005 show had to be cancelled due to no other options available at that late date. However, events fell into motion in early April to bring back drum corps, to the delight of thousands of local fans. |
