Welcome to Retro Sound. Upstate New York's newest Drum and Bugle Corps. Retro Sound's goal is to perform as a parade corps playing classic drum & bugle corps music. Retro Sound will hold rehearsals at the Verdoy Fire Department which is centrally located in Latham, NY just 2 miles west of Exit 6 of Interstate 87 (Adirondack Northway).

It's a mighty, joyful noise - a wall of sound so big your jawbone vibrates and your spine tingles.
The Yankee Rebels Drum and Bugle Corps, formed in Baltimore six decades ago, is running through its repertoire in a small hall at a Dundalk community center. And the sound is almost too much for the room.
As the 50-odd drummers and brass players, wielding everything from mammoth contra bases to lilting mellophones, launch into "Everything's Coming Up Roses," the walls begin to shake as if they're about to come down. |

The Rochester Crusaders will be performing for the first time in 2006 at The University at Buffalo's "Spectacle of Sound". the evnt will take place April 8th beginning at 6pm at Club Evolution. Performing along with the Crusaders will be several high school jazz ensembles and the UB "Blue Noise" Pep Band. The Crusaders will be performing the classic rock portion of their 2006 production. |

Drum Corps Associates, Inc., the organizing body of all-age drum and bugle corps, announced today it has entered into a sponsorship agreement with DCP Partners, LLC, owner of the internet site dedicated to the entire drum and bugle corps activity - DrumCorpsPlanet.com. According to DCA Marketing & Public Relations Director, Fred Windish, the relationship will provide immediate benefits to both organizations. "Shortly after John Donovan was announced as owner of the new DCP website, I received a call from him - asking how DCP can be better utilized to support DCA's goals." Discussions began in February. |
