At a well-attended and relaxed 'Survivors Day' following the completion of their 23rd successive summer season, Concord Drum and Bugle Corps outlined some of their plans for the forthcoming winter season.
Rehearsals of the corps will re-commence at Croft House on Sunday 14th October at their early winter timings of 2.00 to 5.00 pm and will continue on regular Thursday evenings (6.30 - 8.30 pm) and Sunday afternoons. Details of 2007 and 2008 music camps will be announced shortly after the resumption date. |

Drum Corps Europe has again filmed a commercial this year to draw attention to the DCE Championships. Starting from today, the advert, which can also be viewed online, will be shown no less than twelve times a day on TV Rijnmond.
The television commercial has the aim of introducing drum corps and the DCE Championships to a wider audience. The commercial lasts for 30 seconds and shows images from earlier DCE Championships. The advert can count on a large audience with TV Rijnmond. Each week, the channel attracts more than 850,000 viewers making it one of the largest regional broadcasting companies in the Netherlands.

Dynasty will again be sponsoring Drum Corps Europe. After a one-year 'pause', the major producer of brass and percussion instruments has decided to support the DCE Championships.
Dynasty requires hardly any introduction to European drum corps fans. The brand is strongly represented here via the distributor Muremo. It is also impossible to miss Dynasty in the United States. Quite literally so, as all this year's champions in the US (DCI Division I, II and III, DCA Open Class and A Class) play Dynasty instruments.

Cadets were out in force at the Upton Show last weekend and finished with a 1st place in front of the Upton Youth Band Cadets. It was the first time at a show that they have played the closer, which still requires further work to match the front end of the show, but in summary you can see that this unit enjoys this year’s program. Variety throughout the program allows each section to demonstrate their strengths with of course some cheeky moves. The Cadets join the senior corps to perform at the Midlands show at Hinckley and will appear at this years BYBA finals at Butts Arena.
