Stafford Lancers took delivery of their new look Corps truck at their annual Music & Dance Camp.
The truck is an integral part of every day life at Lancers as it is responsible for taking all our bigger instruments to and from all rehearsals and events.

The Black Knights Cadets, from Gravesend in Kent are to appear on BBC’s popular Saturday morning show “Basil’s Swap Shop”.
Three members of the Black Knights Cadets will be appearing on this Saturday mornings show (22nd March) which is due to air on BBC TWO between 9am and 10am and will be playing live to the studio audience and to the millions of people watching!

Atherstone Youth Marching Band have registered for the DCE Power Regional at Crystal Palace in June. This brings the number of competing corps up to 17, with 11 in Open Class, 4 in A Class and 2 in Cadet Class.
DCE Chairman Marcel Matthijsse welcomed the announcement and said "I saw Atherstone at the BYBA Barnsley contest last year and enjoyed their show. They are a corps style band with a distinctive style. Their addition to the A Class line up is another step forward for the Regional."

Reigning European Drum Corps Champions, The Senators, are once again donning their showbiz garb for an appearance on the final program of the hit television show “Dancing on Ice” this coming Sunday 16th March 2008.
Six of the Corps Drummers will be performing on the show and will be supporting the legendary ice dance duo Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean in a performance to the music of Ravel’s Bolero.

The DCE Championships will not be held in Rotterdam this year. After three succesful championship events, DCE and Sparta were not able to come to an agreement for an additional year. DCE hopes to announce a new venue shortly. Talks with other stadiums are in a final stage. "We would have loved to see the DCE Championships being held in the Sparta stadium", says board member Dennis Naatgeboren, who coordinated the contacts between DCE and Sparta. "The stadium is fantastic, we had a great relationship with Sparta, and we were able to hold an additional event in the city heart: Drum Corps Rocks the Town." At the end of last year Sparta informed DCE that they were very positive about the DCE Championships and wanted to see the event back in 2008.
