Beatrix January Camp Update Print

Again a special weekend for the entire corps. All three sections had a special rehearsal scheduled for today, and again huge steps were made.

The day started with an outdoor m&m training for the horns, at a fine location nearby the Dudok Arena where Beatrix has held all of their hometown shows over the past few years. Before rehearsal started there was a nice surprise; the long awaited contra had finally arrived, and starting that morning Beatrix will field 7 contra basses! Something which hasn’t been seen for a while in a Dutch corps.

This years creative team are bringing you a show that will blow the Roof Off! Music Arrangements are by Jay Howard (Brass + Front Ensemble), Adam Lowes (Drums) with Visual Designs by David Milton (Visual Design) & Jenna Riley (Choreography).

Fiddler on the Roof is regarded as one of the most famous stage and film musicals. It opened on Broadway on September 22, 1964 with music by Jerry Bock, lyrics by Sheldon Harnick, and libretto by Joseph Stein.

BYBA Judges Adjudicate New Year Day's Parade Print

The British Youth Band Association continues to support Destination Events/London Parade New Year Day Parade. Over one hundred acts participated in the world's biggest parade which marches from Parliament Street through to Piccadilly. This was the 21st London New Year's Day Parade and 18 High School Marching Bands from the United State, plus units from the UK, along with London Borough floats and societies paraded past an estimated over 150,000 people who lined the parade route.

Concord Announces Summer Plans Print

CONCORD DRUM & BUGLE CORPS has now confirmed their 2007 summer contest season entries. We remain fully committed to DCUK and will be appearing at all three regional shows and DCUK Finals. The corps will compete in the National Open Class.

To complete our summer contesting schedule, CONCORD will be applying to enter two BYBA contests – at Batley and Stafford. We will apply to compete in BYBA Division 1.
