Beatrix Drum & Bugle Corps has topped the Open Class of the Drum Corps Netherlands contest in Beatrix' home town Hilversum. Eleven corps entered the second DCN contest.

The weather was much better than during the contest in Dordrecht, three weeks ago. The corps that entered both contests all showed much improvement last night, and the overall impression is that 2006 will be a good drum corps year in The Netherlands, with attractive programs.

The Blue Diamonds Drum & Bugle Corps is pleased to officially announce the performance schedule for their trips through Europe in 2006. The Blue Diamonds will be visiting abroad on a tour to France, Poland, Berlin and the Netherlands bringing their unique style of concerts, and outdoor performances to the fans in Europe.

The draw for the DCE Championships prelims will take place on Saturday 24th June. Lots will be drawn to determine the order within the various groups, three months before the spectacular event in Rotterdam.

The draw for the Prelims will be held from 1:00 pm onwards in Sparta Rotterdam's press room at 'The Castle'. Those interested in joining us will be warmly welcomed from 12.45 pm. Those unable to make it to Rotterdam, will be able to watch it all 'live' via the Internet. A webcam will record the draw and send an image to the DCE web server every 30 seconds.
