 Distant Thunder topped Divison 1 at the Colchester BYBA show last Sunday with a score of 648 points and taking, High Brass, GVE, GME and Drill and Deportment, 6th Hove Scouts were second with a score of 637 points and took High Percussion.
The competition was held in almost perfect conditions and included all divisons within BYBA seeing, 4th Uckfield Scouts winning Division 4, Phantom Knights winning Division 3, Trinity School Showband winning Division 2 and Upton Youth Band Cadets taking the Cadet Class. 18 Corps entered the contest.

 Today, a draw has determined the order of performances for the DCE Open Class prelims in Rotterdam. The draw was held in the Sparta Rotterdam's press centre and was broadcasted through the DCE website.
On Saturday, September 23rd, the Open Class prelims will start at 09.00 hours local time.

Strängnäs Drum & Bugle Corps from Sweden will not enter the DCE Championships this year. Due to low membership in the hornline, they are not able to field a corps.
The next corps on the waiting list, Jong DAP from Apeldoorn - The Netherlands, have accepted the invitation of Drum Corps Europe to enter. They will compete in the Cadet Class.

 The 9th annual Mediastad Music Festival will be held on september 16th at the Sportpark at the Arenalaan 1 in Hilversum.
The 9th MMF is going to be one of the greatest events on the Dutch tattoo schedule this year with the best of the dutch bands and corps performing.
You can get the tickets through this website. Pre-ordered tickets will be € 9,00. Tickets at the box office on september 16th will be € 10,00. The tickets fot the afternoon youth tattoo will be € 2,00.
