Ticket sale for the DCE European Championships 2006 (September 23rd in Rotterdam - The Netherlands) will start next week, May 1st. Tickets will be available through the Drum Corps Europe website. Tickets will be available in the webshop.
There will be two price levels: one for the centre section of the stand, and one for the other sections. Tickets for the centre section of the stand will be available for EUR 17.50. Other seats will cost EUR 12.50 (valid all day and evening). The prices are all-in prices, DCE doesn't charge administration fees or other additional costs for ticket orders. All tickets will carry a seat number.

Last Saturday the traditional presentation of the program was given at the corps hall in Hilversum.
Every year, the Saturday before Koninginnedag, the Beatrix family presents her programs.
Unfortunately this time, Beatrix Brass and Beatrix Percussion Ensemble were not there due to unfortunate circumstances, but Jong Beatrix and Beatrix’ Drum & Bugle Corps were present and for the first time ever Kids in the Band.

The info pages for the DCE Championships 2006 in Rotterdam have been published on the DCE website today. The information includes the line-up, corps repertoires and other corps details.
26 Corps from 5 European countries will participate in this year's Championships. The event will start at 9.00 AM with the Open Class Prelims, followed by the Cadet Class Finals and the Percussion Class Finals. In the evening, 12 corps will appear in the Open Class Finals, based on the Prelims results.

The weekend of the 1st of April featured the last rehearsal weekend for the drum line and the first outdoor rehearsal for the corps!
The weekend began on Friday at 8 o'clock in the corps hall where the drum line rehearsed in sections until 21.30. The bass line worked on the opener, Artistry Suite, and the 4th movement in the show, Night and Day. The snares worked on these two songs as well. The tenors worked on the opener, Artistry Suite, and a new exercise that was added to the exercise book. The evening ended with a half hour ensemble for the whole field percussion section. The front ensemble used this evening to progress in learning the music from the second movement, Alone. |

Sheffield-based Concord Drum & Bugle Corps is delighted to announce that they have been invited by the Maltese Tourist Board to participate in their annual Historic Cites Festival during October 2006.
The corps will spend six days in the Mediterranean island, performing at various city locations and taking part in the very prestigious Valletta Military Tattoo – held over three nights in the main Government Square of the capital city and featuring major contributions from the Malta Armed Forces and Police plus international guests. CONCORD will be the first independent British youth group to participate and Malta’s first-ever drum corps experience. The island is very busy with visitors during this internationally-acclaimed festival and the corps will perform to enormous audiences at all venues. |
