Monday, 01 May 2006

As a result of the loss of performing members and staff, combined with the need to recruit and rebuild the corps, Forgemen from Sheffield will not take the competitive filed in either BYBA or DCUK this year.

"The corps is continuing upon our voyage of change that will result in the long term sustainability of the organisation", Forgemen director Tony Lees said. Sunday, 30 April 2006

Due to demand from its members, Distant Thunder have set up a members blog to record marching members experiences during the 2006 season. Hot on the heels of some DCI corps, they are the first UK corps to launch a public blog on their internet website.

Postings will follow after rehearsals, events and competitions giving an inside look at what it takes to be part of the organisation, the transition from division 2 and A-Class to Division 1 and Open Class in BYBA and DCE. It will also recount their feelings and experiences of taking part in DCUK for the first time this summer.

New Domain For Drum Corps Europe Print
DCE
Written by Drum Corps Europe website
Friday, 28 April 2006

Drum Corps Europe has activated a new domain name: drumcorpseurope.org. This will be the new starting point from where visitors of the DCE website can proceed to their own language (English, Dutch, German or French).

The old DCE website was hosted on the drumcorps.nl domain. The DCE management decided that a Dutch TLD (.nl) is no longer the appropriate TLD for a European organisation. That's why the new domain drumcorpseurope.org has been activated. The existing domain names of DCE will remain active, and will point visitors directly to their preferred language (like drumcorps.org.uk for English, drumcorps.nl for Dutch and drumcorps.de for German).
