Frontier Announces 2007 Drum Majors Print
Written by Chris Green, Frontier
Wednesday, 07 February 2007

Frontier Drum and Bugle Corps is happy to announce the selection of Pat Blanchard-Modisette and Leonard Stinyard as drum majors for the 2007 season.

Both gentlemen are veterans of the corps. Pat is a charter member of Frontier having marched in the color guard in 2005 and 2006. Leonard joined Frontier in 2006 as a member of the Baritone line.

Pat has experience as a drum major while in high school marching band. He was a drum major at Silsbee High School in Silsbee, TX. Pat marched rifle at both Stephen F. Austin State University and East Texas State University. After twenty years of inactivity, he joined Frontier. Pat is a proud father of a trumpet player for the Madison Scouts in 2007. Pat was fortunate to march the past two seasons with him in Frontier and looks forward to writing some new drum corps stories this year within their family.

Leonard was a member of the military for ten years where he played in military bands and served in two installation Honor Guards. He marched drum corps for the first time in 2006 with Frontier and brings his zany personality to leadership this season.

Frontier has a few remaining brass and percussion spots available, while the front ensemble and color guard positions will close following WGI championships. For information on the corps visit the corps website at http://frontiercorps.org or email the corps director Chris Green at This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it . The corps presents its show “1968” this summer across the country, culminating in its third appearance at the DCA Championships in Rochester, NY over Labor Day Weekend.
