CorpsVets Drum and Bugle Corps would like to announce its scholarships for 2006. Out of remembrance of friends lost and appreciation for our community, CorpsVets offers several different scholarships each year to help performers in different venues.
CorpsVets Drum and Bugle Corps would like to announce its scholarships for 2006. Out of remembrance of friends lost and appreciation for our community, CorpsVets offers several different scholarships each year to help performers in different venues. The Jason Lowe Scholarship honors the memory of Jason Lowe, a young CV member and drum corps enthusiast who passed from cancer in the summer of 2001. Jason’s brave spirit and enthusiasm for this activity touched many. To honor Jason’s memory, a scholarship of $250 to offset the expense of member dues is offered to marching members of any corps. Interested performers may submit an essay describing why they should be considered to the board of directors by March 25, 2006. In 2005 the Jason Lowe scholarship was awarded to Timothy Byars of The Seattle Cascades. Read the rest of the article here. |
