The Bridgemen Drumfest, an annual winter event from back in the day, returns to Bayonne on March 15, 2008 after more than a 20 year absence. It all happens at St. Andrew’s, 4th and Broadway, Bayonne, NJ. Start time is 4pm. The event is shaping up to be quite a musical showcase as individual musicians and ensembles come from all over the metro area and New England to entertain and compete. Appearing will be some of the finest horn players and drummers in the area showing off their talents and looking to gain bragging rights. One of the highlights of the competition will be the SOP Bowl I, pitting the best of New England against the best of New York… again. You thought the Super Bowl was good? Following the competition portion of the night will be an exhibition event including some of the best ensemble and mini corps entertainment in the area. The Grand Finale will be nothing other than our own Bayonne Bridgemen performing a preview of their 2008 music show. Tickets can be purchased at the door as follows $7.00 for Adults$4.00 for Children 14 and under. Children 5 and under are free.
