For their 60th anniversary season, the Rosemont-based Cavaliers drum and bugle corps is celebrating the ancient Japanese warrior culture of honor, courage, and discipline in their 2008 presentations of - Samurai. It's a dramatic interpretation of the Samurai lifestyle that both honors their heritage and breathes new life into their legacy, through the marching, original music, and synchronized movements of 130 Cavalier musicians. The "Green Machine," as the Cavaliers call themselves, put its talents on display last Saturday in their first competition of the season at Rockford Boylan High School.
