One of Minnesota's best ambassadors just broke one of their activities true "glass ceilings." The Minnesota Brass Drum Corps made the top two in the annual World Championships. "So what?," you say? This is the marching musical equivalent of the Gophers being voted most popular football team in the NCAA!

First of all, non-drum corps fans, this IS a sport. It is as athletic and skilled as any activity on any field. The participants range in age from 18 to 68 and there is no accommodation for age, young or old. Every one of the 150 musicians, color guard and staff has to pull their weight equally. Their precise drills of the complicated choreography of modern drum corps show leave them all dripping and exhausted. I know. I've seen them in person.
