 The winner of the annual Jason W. Maxner Scholarship for 2008 was Ms. Justine Williams, a three-year member and one of the Crusaders' drum majors for the recent 2008 tour. The scholarship, given in memory of Jason Maxner, a past corps member and drum major for the Boston Crusaders from 1991 through 1997, is awarded annually by Jason’s parents, Mary and John Maxner of Tewksbury, Massachusetts. The Maxners, pictured below with Justine, awarded the $1000 scholarship at the East Coast Classic in Lawrence, the Crusaders' "home show" on July 31. Justine plans to use the scholarship towards her 2009 tuition with the Crusaders.
