SCV Battery Auditions DVD Coming Soon |

 A DVD for prospective members of the SCV battery by Murray Gusseck (Battery Caption Manager) and Leo Sanchez (Cymbal Instructor) is scheduled for release in mid-October of 2008. This DVD will highlight the basic techniques of the SCV battery section. Gusseck demonstrates fundamentals that apply to the snare, tenor, and bass drum sections of the battery while Sanchez gives an overview of the approach to playing marching cymbals.
The DVD, produced by Tapspace Publications, will include printable PDFs of the exercises that audition candidates will be responsible for knowing during the audition process, helpful tips, and other pertinent info. The video footage (approximately THREE hours worth - 180 minutes) should give audition candidates enough of an overview so that they understand the qualities that are important in order to make the line.
