Last year, both European and American judges reported that a complete mix of all the Open Class participants can cause difficulties for the judges when there are many contestants. In view of the fact that the number of Open Class corps teams has risen from 11 last year to 19 this year, Drum Corps Europe has decided to use a different technique to determine the order of the performances. This year, the order of the performances during the DCE Prelims will be determined differently from last year. The order will partly be based on the contestants' results last year.
