Michael "Cozy" Baker Passes Away Print
Written by John Donovan
Saturday, 27 December 2008
The entire drum corps community has lost a dear friend with the passing of long-term drum corps writer, performer, volunteer, and champion for the activity Michael "Cozy" Baker this morning in Birmingham, AL. Cozy had been hospitalized for the past month, suffering from the effects of an infection and reaction to medication. He was 60 years old, having just recently celebrated a birthday on December 20. Cozy was a columnist and Features Editor for Drum Corps World and has been a columnist and Contributing Editor for Drum Corps Planet for the past 2 1/2 years.

A memorial service is being planned by his family for January 18th in Guntersville, AL. We will provide the details here, once finalized. You can share your remembrances of Cozy and condolences on the DCP Forums.
