2009 Defenders Staff Announcement Print

The Defenders Alumni Corps is please to announce the return of two former staff members to the 2009 corps' instructional staff.

Kevin McDonald will be returning to teach the percussion section in 2009. Kevin was an pivotal part of the Defenders percussion staff from 1980-1982. Recently Kevin has taught many corps and marching bands including The Legends of Drum Corps and perennial WGI percussion finalist Everett HS with Charlie Poole. Kevin was a part of North Stars famed Chrome Wall of the 70s. Kevin joins Mike Cahill & Steve Wolpe who have returned to teach to teach the corps for another season.

The Defenders are also excited about the addition of Don Jenness who will head up the color guard caption for 2009. Don was a part of the Defenders organization from 80-82 as well teaching the corps junior corps while marching with the season corps. Don was a part of the first WGI class A championship color guard the Wildcats of West Bridgewater before becoming a charter member of the Emerald Marquis Color Guard.
