Time ran out on the Kawartha Kavaliers Drum and Bugle Corps. The group had been invited to represent Canada as a guest band at the 65th anniversary of the D-Day invasion in Normandy, France next year. John O' Reilly, speaking on behalf of the Kawartha Kavaliers Drum Corps France Committee, said that the group accepted with the understanding that Veteran Affairs Canada would give them some funding and the Legacy CHEST Fund Committee would be receptive to their request. O' Reilly said he had difficulties even reaching Veteran Affairs and although they have put in an application into the CHEST committee, scheduled meetings had been postponed until next year.
