Cavaliers Announce 2008 Brubaker Scholarship Winners |

 It is with great pleasure that The Cavaliers announce the following 2008 Brubaker Scholarship winners:
Sam Bivens is a three-year member of the Cavalier tuba section and currently enrolled in the Bachelor of Music in Tuba Performance program at Butler University in Indianapolis. Along with his degree he is also working toward an emphases in Music Therapy, Music History, and Secondary Piano Studies, and plans on graduating in May 2009. Sam teaches piano to children in the Indianapolis area through the Butler Community Arts School. He also accompanies those students at the Indiana Solo and Ensemble competition. In addition, he is a Music Therapy and Aural Skills tutor for the School of Music at Butler. In the spring of 2008, Sam was named a Presser Scholar, an honor given by the Presser Foundation.
