Jersey Surf Percussionist Selected For Rose Parade Honor Band |

 Richard A. Caschera, III, a senior at Loyalsock Township High School, has been selected by Bands of America for the National Honor Band in the 2009 Tournament of Roses parade. Caschera was selected from among hundreds of applicants across the nation for membership in this prestigious honors ensemble. Rich is the son of Rich and Sue Caschera. Caschera has been a member of the Lancer Marching Band since 2003 under the direction of Bob Barrett and Bob and Aegina Leidhecker. 2009 will mark Rich's fourth year with the Jersey Surf.
The BOA Honor Band is a 300 piece national ensemble with winds, percussion, and a flag and dance team. George N. Parks, Director of the University of Massachusetts Minuteman Marching Band, and an All-Star staff will direct the band.
