Alliance Announces 2010 Program Print
Written by Josh Matthews, Program Director, Alliance
Friday, 19 February 2010
ALLIANCE's 2010 production is loosely based on the Ernest Hemingway novel of the same name and follows the journey of one's encounter with their own mortality. Performing selections from the a cappella group GLAD, soundtrack composer James Newton Howard, and the original work of brass arranger, Ryan George, the production is intended to reflect a more peaceful approach to the subject of death and dying.

The show progresses through this individual's initial fear of their impending demise, a reflective and contemplative look at their life, and closes with their acceptance and anticipation of life after death. Musical selections will be complemented with battery and front en- semble arrangements by Larry Summerlin and Alan Sears, guard design by Lucie Ausburn, and drill design by Josh Matthews.

The ALLIANCE membership and staff hope all audiences enjoy the production and take away a positive message from "For Whom the Bell Tolls".
