In The News: Mello-Dears Turn Almost 50 |

The Mello-Dears Drum and Bugle Corp from Owego NY are celebrating their almost 50 Birthday! According to Reunion Coordinator Renee Allen-Roma, “We're expecting over 140 people, 90+ of whom are alumni from the Mello-Dears! These women who marched in the drum corp. affectionately known as "The Sweethearts of the Southern Tier" will be returning for this reunion from as far away as NJ, PA, KY, TX, AZ, CA and who knows where else. So many others (SC AZ & CA) a handful, didn't find out soon enough to make vacation plans, but said they will certainly come next year. There are instructors who taught in the 60's through 80's who will be attending! Chaperons (parents) are returning from as far away as Texas to attend!”
