Donny Drum Corps Posted May 1, 2012 Posted May 1, 2012 He knocked a few apples in his day as well. Quote
NanciD Posted May 1, 2012 Author Posted May 1, 2012 Seriously??? No way... I'd have never guessed and knew him so well... (if it's him) it's him Quote
NanciD Posted May 1, 2012 Author Posted May 1, 2012 What threw me is that if the pic is from 1958, he'd only be 15 or 16 at the time ... didn't look Juniorish to me ... :-) I'll show the full corps pic later... Quote
donincardona Posted May 1, 2012 Posted May 1, 2012 I sure hope there will be stories shared here... Now, you guys know why I couldn't offer much in the clue department. Very limited without giving away completely. very familiar face. hmmnnn Quote
donincardona Posted May 1, 2012 Posted May 1, 2012 would he be a bugling legend? if i were a betting man..........yes. Quote
Jim White Posted May 2, 2012 Posted May 2, 2012 What threw me is that if the pic is from 1958, he'd only be 15 or 16 at the time ... didn't look Juniorish to me ... :-) At the time of the picture, the corps was an all-age parade corps marching for the local Citizens Hose Company and American Legion Turner/Schrader Post 34. It became a junior corps in 1963 when it joined the NY/Penn circuit and began field competitions......back then legal drinking age was 18 and he could pass at around 13 without showing an id......
