nukeme70
I ran across a video I recorded of the DCM All-Stars marching in the 1988 Cotton Bowl Parade on New Year's Day in Dallas, TX. We marched something like 170 members - 120 horns if I remember correctly. Each of the DCM corps were invited to send 10% of their membership to march in the parade. We met out at Star of Indiana's rehearsal facility and rode 7 of their buses down to Dallas. I remember in rehearsal not only practicing Auld Lang Syne with the group, but also playing through the obligatory "You'll Never Walk Alone", as well as "Stars and Stripes Forever". Our exciting New Year's Eve consisted of ice skating in the Galleria Mall (at one point I accidentally checked Roman Blenski into the boards...I swear I didn't mean it...). After the parade, we were given tickets to get into the Cotton Bowl game. Somewhere in another post, I uploaded a picture we took in the gym we stayed at, where all the headgear was lined up. I'd love to hear/see some memories from any of the other participants - I have some pics I might throw up here if anyone's interested. Enjoy! sday88
I'm surprised no one has commented. I was in the next year's DCM All Stars at the Orange Bowl Parade and I'd love to see anything from that trip again. Why don't you go ahead and post the pictures. If I see any Bluecoats I'll post them on Facebook for them to see, if you don't mind.
tommytimp
Since I was an age-out DM that year, I was asked to go to rep the QCK. I couldn't, due to a show commitment. One of the great regrets of my life. UPDATE: Sorry, this is New Year's 88. I was asked to go for 88/89. We had a blast in Miami on that trip. glad I got to go.

nukeme70
Representation of all the corps' headgear...including Roman's cap front and center. Kind of sad to note how many of the corps aren't around any longer, but fun to see how many ya'll can identify.
DRB
What is incredibly sad is the list of corps who no longer exist. I miss DCM.

Behind that I think we have Minnesota Brass, Racine Scouts, Americanos, Coachmen, Governaires and Bandettes? Back row- DK, Pioneer, Guardsmen, DK, Glassmen, Northern Aurora, Madison, Phantom, PRC, Bloo, Star, Cavaliers, Northmen, Black Knights, Pioneer. Depressing. A la recherche du temps perdu... Far right on the back row is actually Emerald Knights instead of Pioneer. Pioneer is already correctly labelled as 2nd from left in back row.
