ebenzing Posted April 16, 2012 Posted April 16, 2012 Why are a lot of corps waiting to announce their shows? Usually at this time of year almost all the corps' have announced what their show is for the year. Quote

Maybe after last year with the various copyright issues happening, corps are being more careful, and waiting for all rights to be theirs before announcing much of anything. Just a thought. 1 Quote

Wagner Posted April 16, 2012 Posted April 16, 2012 Does anyone know if any corps are about to announce? Waiting this late is becoming very annoying. 2 Quote

MarchandPlay Posted April 17, 2012 Posted April 17, 2012 (edited) Found this on Facebook. http://www.bluestars...hp?story_id=642 Wonder what pieces "The Blue World" will use from Dvorak's works........................ And it looks like Marc Streitenfeld wrote for a few film scores: (from wikipedia) A Good Year (2006) American Gangster (2007) Body of Lies (2008) Robin Hood (2010) Welcome to the Rileys (2010) The Grey (2012) Prometheus (2012) Wonder what they will be using from his music. Sounds like an interesting show to say the least! Edited April 17, 2012 by MarchandPlay 1 Quote

corpsband Posted April 17, 2012 Posted April 17, 2012 And it looks like Marc Streitenfeld wrote for a few film scores: ... Wonder what they will be using from his music. Sounds like an interesting show to say the least! There is a track "White Whale" from Body of Lies. Kind of an atmospheric mood piece. No other tracks popped immediately as sea or ocean related. Of course nothing stops them from re-casting something as "The Hurricane" or whatever.... Glad we have something new to talk about it ! Quote
