While and electric sitar is within the allowable instrument use rules by DCI, I believe that raising the hair on the back of your neck with the brass and percussion is a far more intense and visceral effect.
Cute and clever, vs. Drum Corps = Bambi vs. Godzilla
We all 'ooh' and 'aah' over cute Bambi... and all cheer when Godzilla leaves a path of scorched Earth.
