general_tsos_chicken2 Posted May 21, 2012 Posted May 21, 2012 there is a picture on phantoms FB page that shows their bassline... the drums are black like last years so I'm not sure if they are the new ones or not. Quote
ibexpercussion Posted May 21, 2012 Posted May 21, 2012 Anyone remember the 1998 Crossmen drums that looked like bowling balls? Those were awesome. Those were some nice looking drums if I must say so myself. 1 Quote

skeptic Posted May 22, 2012 Posted May 22, 2012 Crossmen camp vids show them using red yamahas. This is what they had last year though, not sure if they are getting new ones or not. Quote

friceox Posted May 22, 2012 Posted May 22, 2012 I hope this is true. I would love to see Ludwig on the field again. I don't think the system blue drums are coming out till 2013? Someone correct me if I'm wrong. Quote

Yamaha used to give everyone new drums every 2 years. Crown, Cavaliers and Cadets have seemed to get new ones every year in recent years but I'm guessing the 2nd tier Yamaha corps like Madison, Crossmen, Colts and the Bluecoats are still on the 2 year plan. If I'm not mistaken Bluecoats get new ones last year after using the previous set for 2 seasons. I haven't heard if they are getting new ones this year or are still using the ones from last season.
