What an observation. With that "crickets" statement maybe, just maybe, the G7 unfortunately did have a slight bit of insight concerning not very many DCI people caring one way or the other about the Open Class.

Or maybe the open-class corps have chosen to use their own websites, Facebook, e-mail, etc., for updates rather than DCP.

The Original Poster also wanted the DCP folks DCI fans to "...Make predictions and Argue about stuff". And we are still hearing crickets, crickets, crickets, ...

There are 27,525 Topics and 844,100 Replies in the World Class discussions compared to only 3,718 Topics 35,801 Replies in the Open Class discussions. Those numbers tell a great deal about where the fan interest is within DCI.

the stands are the same way . Thats why I always say to the barkers, the saviors of the activity, the torch and pitch fork people against the elite......put your money where your mouth is ( or at least be honest about it )and support the bottom...Instead those same people run you down to get to WC corps....lol

Does it? Or does it only tell us where bickering is more prevalent?

By the way, looking back at this forum, I see 12 open-class corps with at least one thread devoted to them in the current month. Much of it is in the form of press releases from the corps themselves, diligently reported by the man providing us with the DCP Newsfeed. That's not exactly "dead". (Maybe we can argue about that....)

Poster and fan interest is interest whether it is in the form of discussion, debate, or just shear information. The Open Class Thread only has 14% topic rate, and a mere 4.2% reply rate, to the World Class thread. Crickets, crickets, crickets, ...

OK, then. So if I reply to you, now the reply rate just went up. According to your logic, there is now more interest in open-class drum corps. Problem solved!
