FaustianMachine Posted June 7, 2012 Posted June 7, 2012 None. Absolutely none at all. They've replaced those sections with piccolo flutes and finger cymbals. Loudest finger cymbal line I have ever heard in my life. SO can we expect an 80 person viper? Quote
kaseyW Posted June 7, 2012 Posted June 7, 2012 SO can we expect an 80 person viper? That is absolutely correct. Quote
Forevergreen Posted June 13, 2012 Author Posted June 13, 2012 That is absolutely correct. Okay, so a little bird showed me a video...How many brass this year, Kasey ? I only saw 9 contras ? They sounded pretty good and definitely are doing some pretty intense choreography in the first minute and a half or so. Quote
DrumManTx Posted June 13, 2012 Posted June 13, 2012 This show is OUT THERE. It's not your average Firebird, not by a long shot. I'm not sure if I'm conceiving this as a god or a bad thing, I'll have to see it in its entirety. And lots of choreography, a WHOLE lot. All I'm saying. 4 Quote
general_tsos_chicken2 Posted June 13, 2012 Posted June 13, 2012 there seems to be a lot of similiarities to phantom regiment 07 (on air) ... not just the music but the 'flocking' drill in the beginning as well. 2 Quote
POSITIVenrgy Posted June 13, 2012 Posted June 13, 2012 Have to say.... what I've heard so far is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G. I was just like.... wow. Quote
general_tsos_chicken2 Posted June 13, 2012 Posted June 13, 2012 definitely pretty strange, but I like it I think. Sylvesters visual representation definitely fits the strangeness.... a lot of 'different' type drill (with flocking and even crazy curvilinear stuff that he normally writes), I can't wait to see it from up top. Drums sound strong! 3 Quote

Drums sound strong! I agree with that. Video early in the season does not do justice. Last year I went to BK's camp when I was in Denver to watch rehearsal and took a video. What I saw in person was so much better than what I recorded (of course I could have had better equipment---meaning not a phone). I am awaiting to see this in person. Quote
