I don't care what the rules are. My all- time top 12 corps would be:

1. Garfield Cadets 1987
2. Madison Scouts 1995
3. SCV 1987
4. Phantom Regiment 2008
5. Blue Devils 1984
6. Garfield Cadets 1984
7. SCV 1985
8. The Cadets 2000
9. 27th Lancers 1980
10. Phantom Regiment 1989
11. The Cavaliers 2004
12. Blue Devils 2010
Education in our times must try to find whatever there is in students that might yearn for completion, and to reconstruct the learning that would enable them autonomously to seek that completion.

As I was finishing... I realized I misread the directions.

Well, here are my favorite shows which received the placement listed. (ie. no repeats, and each show must have earned that spot..)

1 - 1999 Santa Clara Vanguard : "Inventions for a New Millennium"
2 - 1993 Star of Indiana : "The Music of Barber and Bartok"
3 - 2010 Bluecoats : "Metropolis: The Future is Now"
4 - 2003 Phantom Regiment : "Harmonic Journey"
5 - 2008 The Cadets : "Pursuit of Happiness"
6 - 2007 Carolina Crown : "Triple Crown"
7 - 2006 Blue Knights : "Dark Knights"
8 - 2010 Blue Stars : "Houdini"
9 - 1989 Suncoast Sound : "Florida Suite"
10 - 2011 Madison Scouts : "New York Morning"
11 - 2003 Magic of Orlando : "Silver Voices"
12 - 2003 Spirit of Atlanta : "Time"

This was really tough to do! Too many choices to eliminate . . . I could make this list every day for the next week and come up with a different list each time. Still, I think this would be a pretty good show:

1. Santa Clara Vanguard 1999: Inventions for a New Millenium
2. Phantom Regiment 2006: Faust
3. Bridgemen 1980
4. Blue Devils 1993: A Don Ellis Portrait
5. Cadets 1989: Les Miserables
6. Crossmen 1992: Songs for the Planet Earth
7. Blue Knights 2006: Dark Knights
8. Magic of Orlando 1996: Twelve Seconds to the Moon
9. Colts 1995: Sunday in the Park with George
10. Velvet Knights 1992: Magical Mystery Tour Part III
11. Bluecoats 1988
12. Spirit of Atlanta 2006: Old, New, Borrowed, and Blue

2. Madison 95
3. Cavies 02
4. BD 94
5. VK 92
6. SCV 99
7. Cadets 95
8. Boston (year slips me) "Red" was the show

12. Southwind 92
Geez...this was hard toward the bottom not being able to repeat corps.

I'd have 84 & 92 in there, not sure which years I'd swap out.

Only rule, don't choose same corps for different placement... Example if Cavies 02 is your all time #1, you can't choose them for another placement... Mine would be:

*snip*
3) Cavies 91- No offense to Cadets this year, bit the best Xmas show was this one! They had some great drum writing and flat out made the xmas stuff sound kick butt!!
*snip*
Wes P
BK 97 98

Actually, Cavies got second place in 91', not third. Just sayin.
