I have noticed recently some of the little smilies/emoticons show /> after them such as:

:tongue:/>/>

is something broken?

I think I got it - for select browsers:

In "My Settings", select "enable visual RTE editor".

sorry John... for me even killing the browser session and restarting is no go. using IE on POS Winblows 7...

Yep (See cut 'n paste below). And I see now the format of the box I'm typing in has changed. Looks like Rich text instead of basic .txt format. LOL, seen too much of the rte and txt differences trying to convert files at work for database changes......

Posting Settings

  • Enable visual (RTE) editor?
    Rich Text Editor requires IE6+, Mozilla / Firefox 3.0+, Safari 4+, Google Chrome, or Opera 9+

and I have to suppose that you are using 6+ v IE - double checked your profile and it does confirm RTE...
