Fran Haring
OK after the 73 season we had a big turnover. Kids aged out and went on with there lives. We lost a lot of talent after 73. I think all the talent we lost no mater who taught us it would have been a down year, After 74 we lost some more people and changed staff 75 was the bottom. We were not good at all in 75 the day of DCI prelims we had a work day and didn't bother going to DCI. If we went looking at corps rep I figure at best we wold have came in the mid 30s or so. The work day was so we could brake 70 by Wildwood that would be the only bright spot in 75 76 was my age out year and I really wanted to get back into finals. Bobby and a whole new staff came in and the rest is history. I remember seeing the Bridgemen a few times in 1975, and they were a solid corps in local circuit shows (Garden State circuit, I believe), but definitely not up to par on the national scene, compared to their corps of 1972 and 1973. And Leo, as you say... 1976 happened, and the rest is history!!!
