TomPeashey
lol and I thought it was just me... I had 2 MAJOR confrontations... one with sheriffs and one with Moosic Police... In both instances, the officers involved would have last their jobs in any major city. and I was one of those in charge...

Fran Haring
lol and I thought it was just me... I had 2 MAJOR confrontations... one with sheriffs and one with Moosic Police... In both instances, the officers involved would have last their jobs in any major city. and I was one of those in charge... It wasn't just drum corps and band. One of my old bosses from my radio days went to a baseball game there... and told me the "brownshirts" got into it with a fan who was standing in the tunnel entrance to the seating area during one of the innings... they said he shouldn't be there. This was after he was told by the same people that he couldn't enter the seating area during an inning. So where was he supposed to stand, out in the parking lot? LOL. Go figure.
ajlisko
My only interaction with them was during the "Winky" incident someone (Fran?) mentioned a while ago ... it happened in to 90's ... Winky was wheelchair bound and wanted to watch the show next to some of his old friends who were not sitting in a wheelchair area ... the cops tried to make him move and tried to break the grip Winky had on a seat in front of him ... someone bellowed out "NEW YORK" at that point (our rallying call) and immediately 15-20 (maybe more) of us showed up and surrounded the young cop ... an older cop assessed the situation and told the rookie to stand down ... it was very tense for a few minutes but things worked out and Winky got to stay ... lovely place ... :-)
