Phantom Regiment is looking for horn alums to participate in in "Project 35: Elsa's Return to the Cathedral." This is a chance for former members of the corps' horn line to play live with the present corps at the June 20 "Show of Shows" in Rockford this summer.

There are also two days of events leading up to the big day. Check out the above link for more info.

'Hope this exhibition shows up on youtube, or in some manner those that can't be in attendance, get to see it later. Phantom has had videos of these type segments taped it the past for future viewing, and its made for enjoyable listening and watching, imo.

For those who have not seen what BRASSSSSO is referring too, this will have to do until there's a more current version.

I believe we are up to about 60 people. 100 would be better!

Does this reunion include all decades? If so, that appears to be a paltry showing so far. For their sake, I hope there are a lot of last-minute sign-ups that can play!

I will be there.

Pray for me since I have never played a trumpet (we of course played soprano bugles in 1956-1960) and whatever facility I had to read sheet music faded a long time ago.

Nonetheless, I have been taking trumpet lessons since early April and so far these 71- year old lips and lungs have responded. I only hope my valve fingering will respond as well.

I am genuinely delighted to return to my hometown and participate, for the first time, in playing Elsa's Procession.

And so will all other Phantom alumni, in spirit if not in place.

THIS is what it's all about! How wonderful that you have chosen to participate and prepare by taking lessons! You are going to have a blast. I know it.
